Ghanaian Highlife Maetro, Kojo Antwi also Know as Mr Musicman will on July 1 Stage performance with Fred Meiway and Genevieve Nnaji at the largest ever fashion show to be held in Africa which is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors and fashion journalists from around the world.
Dubbed: "The Goldshow," the event is being organised in collaboration with the Ghana at 50 secretariat, Rimartex Limited and celebrated Ghanaian fashion designer, Kofi Ansah and Karim Issaka.
At a pre-launch of the Goldshow at the Alisa Hotel on Saturday, the event’s chairman and ace fashion guru, Kofi Ansah said the show was in celebration of the advancement of the textile, fashion modelling and music industry in Ghana , more so in the wake of the celebration of 50 years of independence.
The show also celebrates other renowned designers like Joyce Ababio, Mawuli Kofi Okudjeto, Kwesi Nti, McDanielli and others who brought a different luster into the fashion industry in Ghana and whose impact over the years, have brought the industry into the limelight.
It will also celebrate the advent of designers such as Karim Issaka, Thomas and Sarfo Boakye whose illusion have perpetuated the tradition of excellence mapped out by the legends.
Celebrated international designers such as Alphadi of Niger, Gilles Toure of Cote D’Ivoire, Dasha of Senegal and Petit D of Benin will be showcased as they collaborate with their Ghanaian counterparts at the Independence Square, Osu, Accra where the event is to be held.
They would display professionalism in creativity, innovation and expertise to the audience.
According to Kofi Ansah, the very unique show will afford us the opportunity to sing our heroes in the music industry.
Special personalities such as Ephraim Amu and his colleagues who made immense contributions to the music industry will have their works featured on the day.
According to the executive producer of the Goldshow, Karim Issaka, the event would be beamed internationally through OBETV of UK and MNET.
The President, Mr. J. A. Kufuor and His Vice, Alhaji Aliu Mahama will be the Special Guest of Honour.
