Has the champion lover, Nana Acheampong also known as Lover Boy finally confirmed that he is a casanova? Why will he title his latest work Casanova?
Most people have recognised his penchant for love songs but the question now on the lips of many is, does he only churn out love songs or is he really a casanova?
As usual, it is Christmas and he has released a 10-track album full of love songs and he did it together with four top hiplife artistesSidney, Skrewface, Okyeame Kwame and OD4.
They have added their various styles, to that of the lover boy, to present a unique work that many highlife lovers, will find very enjoyable and entertaining.
The album opens with the title track Casanova, which talks about a beautiful lady who says that she does not need a one-night stand man in her life but one who will love her for all time.
In Odo Beba Na Mawu, Skrewface is featured as well as in Mehwe Wo Yie, where he is joined by Malysah. Sidney joins the fray in Yewoo Me Ma Wo.
On the fifth track, Messo Daye Bi, Nana Acheampong explores a new style he calls Sikyi High-Hip in which Sidney is once again featured.
Okyeame Kwame is featured on Obra Akwantu after which Yen Hwe Bibi Yie, a song advising people of Ghana to be wary of some happenings in the country follows. Other songs on the album are Akwankwaa Tiaa and Owuo ye Asubontia.
All the songs were written and arranged by Nana Acheampong and recorded at his studio in Kumasi and programmed by King Forest except Casanova, Odo Beba Na Mawu and Odo Deem, which were programmed by Appiatus.
With this album out, the Loverboy has once again kept his promise of coming out with a song each Christmas bringing the number of his releases to 16.
Even though he has worked on a new album with his friend, Daddy Lumba (the duo used to work together under the name Lumba Brothers), they are yet to release the album, which most music lovers are looking forward to owning, as it is hoped that it will contain a number of hits.
