AFTER working hard throughout the year, one needs to unwind, listen to good music and have a good laugh to release all the stress and tension.
And Ghana’s leading events organiser, Charterhouse is, for the fifth time, inviting all Ghanaians to the Accra International Conference Centre for hours of non-stop, jaw-breaking comedy and music at the “Night of 1004 Laughs” show.
The event which comes off on Saturday, December 23, will feature some of Africa’s finest comedians, the award winning reggae group, Third World as well as top home-based music artistes.
With a record of over 33 years of preaching peace and love throughout the world, Third World has been nominated 10 times for Grammy Awards. They have twice received the best show band award in Jamaica and also won the UN Peace Medal in 1986. According to the Event Director of Charterhouse, Mrs. Theresa Ayoade, the Night of Comedy and Music is uniquely structured to provide the platform for every worker to “unwind” after months of nonstop working.
“For the first time, we have invited one of the highest selling reggae groups of all time to satisfy lovers of music who will be at the event. By so doing, patrons of the night will not only be treated to rib-cracking jokes, but will also enjoy all genres of music,” she pointed out.
Ghana’s most popular dance hail group, Wutah, will rock patrons with soothing songs while fine comedians, Clint d’ Drunk, Stars of the Future comedy Icons, David and his Runner-Up, Foster, and highly sought-after hilarious comedians, Francis Agoda (I Go Die) and Lepacious Bose from Nigeria wow them with unbeatable jokes.
Organised twice each year, by Charterhouse, the Nights of Comedy and Music.
