For sometime now, the sexiest among them all Nii Addo Quaino a.k.a Tinny has been on the low as far as radio airplay is concerned.
On his second album, the biggest controversial element was a song titled “Aletse” featuring Quata which was a reply to Buk Bak’s “Owo gen muji”, in which Ronny talks about a faceless person he referred to as Aletse.
This perhaps is the only thing anybody can remember about his last album. As funny and simple as his name sounds, Tinny is among the first hiplife artistes with a unique style and with his dynamic Ga rap delivery Tinny has always been outstanding. Tinny was born at Osu Ako Adjei in Accra on 19th January 1982 and an old student of Akuapiman Secondary School.
Synonymous to his name, is his hairstyle and its smallish nature. Answering the question of where he has been all this while, Tinny said he has been working on his next album for over two years now. According to him he wants to spend enough time to make sure he is bringing out nothing but the best as always. Visibly, Tinny is one of the few hiplife artistes who have been able to stick to a particular lady for so long. The name that is always mentioned wherever Tinny is has always been Thelma. Disclosing to WEEKLY FYLLA how they met, Tinny said it was in Dansoman where Thelma lives.
“I remember I was with Batman that day and the very moment I saw her, I knew she was the one my heart had been looking for all that while. We became friends and from there we found love”.
Beautiful looking, full of smiles and lovely Thelma Maame Darkey has ever since remained an emotional inspirer to Tinny and his music career. “Any love song I write is inspired by Thelma”, Tinny proudly said. The story of their love is in a song titled “Maame” which Thelma’s name was part of the chorus. Their love reflects in Tinny’s upcoming third album titled “Kaa Bu Ame” (meaning Don’t Mind Them), obviously asking Thelma not to mind anybody who tries to come between them. After Secondary School, Thelma went to the Ghana airways training school for an aviation course, which she has already completed. Presently, Maame is yet to be enrolled at the Institute of Management Studies (IMS). Tinny is yet to release his third album with songs like “Aletse Ogbo (a dancehall rhythm), “Forget me not”, featuring Slim Buster, “Lighter” featuring Okra, “U better know” featuring Mensah, London and Accra featuring Sway from the U.K and “Striker” featuring K.K Fosu. Producers who worked on this long awaited album includes Ashes, Bullet, Martin de Clicks, KSN and Appietus. Tinny also disclosed to us that he actually did backings and chorus himself. What more would you expect. So far as Thelma is with Tinny, his funs are sure of hits.
