The Ascension of Christ Chapel International (ACC) has launched its maiden gospel album titled “Edin No (The Name)”.
The launching took place yesterday, Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the ACCI premises at Weija Junction, off the portion of the Mallam Kasoa highway in Accra.
With the exception of “O when the Saints” the only non-original composition, the remaining songs on the eight tract album recorded on compact disc and cassette are all the original work of Pastor Daniel Jejesh Gyappah, Head Pastor and General Overseer of ACCI, backed by the Ascension Gospel Band, the resident band of the church.
In a statement to the media, Pastor Gyappah said it was a joyous moment for the launch of the “Edin No” gospel album adding that the church under his able direction and leadership had been nurturing such an ambition for a long time and was glad to see its efforts over the years now become a reality.
On what motivated his efforts, Pastor Gyappah said he had a touch from the Holy Spirit to write the gospel songs to promote the Kingdom of God.
Another objective was his contribution to add to the number of gospel music on the market to help promote gospel music in the church and for Christian programmes and functions as well.
According to Pastor Dan, he has also come out with the album to let people know that it is a possibility which they also can accomplish, once they have musical talent.
