Batman Samini, Best GHanaian Musician of the year 2006

Mobo award winner Batman Samini blazed the trail last night at the national theatre as the first dancehall artiste to win the “artiste of the year” at the public awards night of the Ghana music awards festival 2007.
In addition to that award batman Samini also won the African pop song of the year, record of the year award and Reggae Song of the Year.
King Ayisoba also won the discovery of the year award, most popular song of the year and traditional song of the year
Highlife star Ofori Amponsah took home the album of the year award, highlife song of the year award, highlife artiste of the year award and highlife album of the year award. He earlier won producer of the Year Award.
Gospel star Kwaku Gyasi also won the gospel song of the year, gospel artiste of the year and gospel album of the year.
Obrafour won the hiplife song of the year award, hiplife artiste of the year award and best collaboration of the year award
Praye also won the hiplife album of the year award, Christiana Love won the best female vocal performance and Kwaisey Pee won the best male vocal performance.
Hugh Masakella won the Africa music of the year award and D’banj from Nigeria won the African artiste of the year award
