Nigerian top comedians last Friday shook the National Theatre when they staged a brilliant performance to entertain Ghanaians.
The event, dubbed “The Yello Comedy Night”, hosted comedy stars like Julius D’ Genius, Kojo, Basket Mouth, I Go Die and a host of others.
Organized by Charterhouse, the Yello Comedy, which reflected a night of 1005 laughs, music and more, was a rare night which saw hardworking Ghanaians gather in a cozy auditorium to laugh away their stress and relax on good music.
All over West Africa, Basket Mouth, who is recognized as one of the continent’s most hilarious comedians was at his best when he thrilled fans with some of his rib-cracking jokes which sent some of the audience crying and laughing at the same.
I Go Die also performed creditably that night. His stage presence reminds one of the good old KSM, but I Go Die also has a class of his own. Perhaps, his comedy is never complete without the ever popular Mapuka dance steps.
For majority of Ghanaians, Basket Mouth and I Go Die are no new names on the list of highly acclaimed comedians.
Aside these line-up of comedians the night saw the performance of Daasebre Dwamena, A-Plus as well as the evergreen Wulomei Traditional Dance Group.
