THE ever-growing popularity of Batman Samini, the celebrated Ghanaian musician has once again been recognised by millions of music lovers who have nominated him for yet another award.

The musician who is gradually building an image for himself and the country is among 46 nominees from 12 different African countries vying for an award in the Channel O Spirit of Africa Music Video Awards.

Because of his success in Ghana, Samini has been chosen as one of the lead characters to advertise for telecommunication giant MTN.

The prestigious award ceremony will be held at the City Hall, Johannesburg on October 11.

The Channel Music Video Awards set out to recognise both the performer and copyright owners throughout Africa for their contribution to African music.
