Musicians get their craft from different backgrounds like the church, school, through inheritance, homes or from the ghetto as some of them say. Otis Peprah simply known as O.P believes he is a proud product of the streets.
He is a Youngman with so much to offer to the music world both locally and internationally.
Narrating his life story, the Oseikrom (Ashtown) rapper who has also lived a number of years in Montreal, Canada said "Life is not what you do but how you do it. I have been on my own since childhood. I take decisions on my own, I advice myself, I live a life that is best for me. Anything I’m doing and anything I know is from the street .
I have always wished that one day I will have a bigger mouth or an ideal platform to tell the whole world, what I have been through and what every street child goes through. Thank God for giving me strength to realize my dream of becoming a musician (rapper) I don’t think there is a better avenue to express myself to the world than through music."
Presently O.P is cooking an all round hiplife recipe with ingredients from Africa. The type of music he calls "Street life" (his own version of hiplife). Caught in the studio, sweating in an air conditioned vocal booth, Otis confirmed the readiness of his debut album and from all indication this promises to be one of the biggest projects in the history of hiplife.
The album still in the making features Ex-doe who he refers to as his Godfather, Samini, Ogabee, 2Toff and his colleague Red Ice based in Canada. On this album he has songs about Love, real life stories, about Peace and street life.
Peprah thinks he has gone through enough to be quiet over it. He knows other people may have suffered even more than him but their silence have kept the pain in them. He will tell the story just the way it is, in his music for all who have ears to hear and realize that, there are some unfortunate ons in the society who do not even have home to live in.
For now Otis is doing everything on his own with support from his main man Ex-Doe. If not for anything at all Ex-Doe’s image and his name behind this project answers all unsure questions.
This young chap is single handedly putting up a musical album to suit any part of the globe and welcomes support of any sort to see his dream come true. He has a dream and it's only your help that can keep it alive.
