An official campaign song for the flag-bearer of the New Patriotic
Party (NPP) Nana Addo DankwaAkufo-Addo, will be launched on Sunday
March 30 at the Kumasi Cultural Centre in the Ashanti Region.


The song title, ‘Ono Na Obetumi Aye’ was composed, arranged, sang and produced by ace musician Osei Banahene of ‘Kaakra A Yebe Di Nti’ fame, which was a household song during the 80s.

Nana Akufo-Addo and his campaign team, according to organizers of the programme, would attend the launch.

Osei Banahene added that Nana Akufo-Addo, who is expected to launch the song, would be the guest of honour.

The album, according to Osei Banahene, was produced by Anidaso Music Production, based in Kumasi.

The song will educate Ghanaians about the achievements of Nana Akufo-Addo as a Minister and his struggle to get this country back to democratic rule and how he fought against certain inimical policies of the dictatorial regimes, when many people could not talk about them.

It also highlights what Nana Akufo-Addo stands for and what he could do to make Ghana a safer place for every citizen.

The launch is dubbed, ‘2008 Victory Song: Vote for Nana Akufo-Addo’.
