A courtesy call by Becca and her manager on the TV3 Management at Adesa We in Accra, was all it took to smoothen out a two-year ‘cold war’ between the sultry singer and the television station.
There had been a somewhat rocky relationship between the two parties which had allegedly resulted in TV3 placing a ban on Becca’s appearance on that television channel.
At last Friday’s meeting, the TV3 team was said to have explained that the station had no policy against Becca or any other artiste and that her perceived ‘blacklisting’ by the station might have come about through a breakdown in communication.
TV3 was said to have even voluntarily asked for a Becca video to air on the station as a sign that the frosty relations between them had indeed thawed.
Becca and TV3 were in the news recently when the television station was said to have refused to air an independent production Entertainment Today because there was a segment involving an interview with Becca.
Becca’s manager, Kiki Banson, was not ready to give any specific details on the meeting but said there was no problem between her artiste and TV3 as far as he was concerned.
The young lady was one of the original contestants for Mentor 2 but withdrew due to her disagreement with the contract binding participants of the music reality show. Apparently, relations between her and the station had not been smooth since that incident.
“TV3 is one of the stations trying hard to promote local talent in music and we are on good terms with them,” Kiki told Showbiz earlier in the week.
