It was an evening replete with glitz and glamour last Saturday when the producers of Close-up toothpaste organised the first ever Close-up Salsa Fiesta at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
The event brought together a lot of Salsa lovers who also learnt how to do the dance while others put to view beautiful Salsa steps.
Among the hundreds of spectators were those who had never danced Salsa before, and having been gripped by the dance fever, all of them joined Salsa instructors on stage to learn the dance.
The ambience at the Trade Fair Center was invigorating, with fans dressed in red and white Close-Up colours on red carpet.
The night which officially started around 8:00pm, witnessed a stimulating opening salsa act from the staff of Unilever Ghana Limited, producers of Close-Up.
The fiesta, aimed at socializing, keeping fit and encouraging personal hygiene as well as learning Salsa steps, featured performances from Salsa clubs in Accra and a guest international group.
Speaking at the event, Nana Yaa Kissi, Brand Manager of Close-up said Close-up was proud to be associated with Salsa which has been in Ghana for the past 12 years.
Close-up, she indicated, has three key benefits which are offering strong, fresh and white teeth.
The event, sponsored by Castle Milk Stout and Joy FM is expected to be held annually.
